I am a post-doctoral research associate at the Claremont Institute for Economic Policy Studies, the research arm of the political economy program at the Claremont Graduate University in California. I am interested in the economic and political underpinnings of banking and currency crises, such as rapid credit growth, capital flow surges, financial regulation and supervision, as well as political institutions and government ideology.

I also teach at the Department of Economics at California State University Long Beach.
